Alp's Turkish Pide
Pictured Above: Different pide from Yuzu Beach in Çeşme, Turkey
Lucky for me (and you) my husband is from Turkey, and I’ve been able to travel throughout and taste the countries delicious cuisine. One of the simplest and most accessible foods they have is pide, the Turkish equivalent to pizza. There are many different types of toppings you can have, but what remains the same is the boat-like shape, and thin crispy dough. We made these at home during quarantine with store bought (yes, sometimes you need a break from making everything from scratch.) gluten-free pizza dough from Trader Joe’s and it was absolutely delicious and took us right back to the beach in Turkey. Try it yourself!
